From Rail Operation Safety to Workforce Protection
RC
Roughness Checker
Innovation for future railway maintenance
RC(Roughness Checker) offers an innovative solution for checking for unevenness in a rail surface, such as roughness or corrugation.

Built with state-of-the-art technology, it elevates safety in the work environment while enabling precise measurement and significant time savings.

How?

RC uses a proprietary algorithm to process the raw data collected by its three displacement sensors and displays the roughness values. Each roughness value can be converted into a frequency, so the user can compare it with ISO3095 and determine when to grind rails. The sensor technology allows RC to detect rail corrugation as well.

Operation

Ease of operation is another outstanding feature of RC. RC runs automatically after you set the distance (2 km max.) and then returns to the starting point. The internal motor means a user does not need to push/pull the device manually like conventional solutions, saving considerable time and effort! The user can monitor the device’s status via wifi and can remain to the side of the rails, keeping the user safe from accidents.

RC Key Features
Innovative
Compared to more conventional techniques, RC is an innovative solution. It’s faster, safer, more accurate, and more convenient.
Accuracy
Multiple sensors simultaneously measure the rails’ roughness at a constant velocity thanks to its automatic operation, and improved results are guaranteed by the internal algorithm.
Faster
RC operates with an internal motor. It can cover more area than conventional manual devices. You can check more areas and finish your jobs in less time.
Convenience
RC operates independently, meaning the only thing that the operator needs to do is to check whether the device is running properly and download the data after the operation. There is no need to push and/or walk with the device as with other conventional alternatives.
